In Memory of Our Lucky Wayne

A friend of both Janet and Lucky Wayne wrote: "Lucky Wayne was the dream you shared with your father when the two of you purchased him so many years ago. You and Your father had a vision for the horse of the future and that vision was epitomized in Lucky Wayne's offspring..... You two took a chance and he never let you down."
Janet found Lucky Wayne as a two year old and was attracted to him because of his conformation . Lucky Wayne had the "Look of Eagles" that Janet loved. He was a big, elegant and a great mover. While these qualities were Lucky Wayne's biggest draw, he was also sired by the famous race horse Winken Wayne out of Della Feast by Feast. He would stand quiet without a halter while his hooves were being trimmed, his kindness toward people (even during breeding season) were only parts of his inherently quiet, gentle attitude. Lucky Wayne had the ability to stamp his foals with these same traits, leaving a legacy that lives on today!
Lucky Wayne died peacefully in his sleep on September 1st 1997.
